By becoming a member, you agree to this policy and you allow ASSET to store your data. ASSET is committed to ensuring data protection according to the current General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) law.
Introduction
This page is used to inform members regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to become a member at study association ASSET. If you choose to become a member, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone other than described in this privacy policy.
What information do we collect?
ASSET collects and documents your Personal Information upon your registration to become a member. Your Personal Information consists out of two parts. First, it involves the information that you provide during your registration as a member of ASSET: contact details, student details, study interests and bank details. Secondly, ASSET can request your resume and/or motivation letter when you want to register for a career event.
What do we use your Personal Information for?
This personal data is saved for the following reasons: internal record keeping, communicating relevant information or promotional emails regarding the events of ASSET and improving our services. We only store your student details for internal record keeping and to verify whether you follow one of the study programs at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM). We only store your bank details in order to collect the payment of the annual membership fee. When applying to one of our career events with resume selection, you agree that ASSET stores your resume and/or motivation letter for that particular event. ASSET is solely responsible for a safe transfer of your resume and/or motivation letter for a particular event to the corresponding recipient. When your resume and/or motivation letter is sent to the particular recipient, the privacy policy of the recipient is applicable. If you do not want the recipient to store your resume and/or motivation letter, please indicate this during your registration for that particular event.
We store your data until 7 years after you have cancelled your membership. If you want to cancel your membership at Asset, please sent an email to secretary@asset-tilburg.nl.
How do we protect your Personal Information?
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. ASSET strives to protect your data through physical, electronic and managerial procedures. Your Personal Information, except resume and/or motivation letter for a particular event, is not communicated online except for our own internal communication technologies.
